Please visit the Gallery @ The Arts at Marks Garage (1159 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu Chinatown) through the end of September to view the “36 Views of Leahi” show juried by one of Oahu’s most famous artists, Masami Teraoka. The show will be displaying artwork that “includes, from whatever angle or point of view, Honolulu’s most iconic landscape.” Two of my works will be displayed at the show. I was particularly happy to be chosen for the exhibit by Mr. Teraoka . He is truly one of my favorite artists (and a big reason why I entered the show in the first place). His work is heavily influenced by ukiyo-e woodblock prints and often features the collision of Eastern and Western Culture. It will be interesting to see the pieces he chose for the show. |
